Hippie CEO Life #37 - Create Ripples

December 23, 2022

It’s easy to get caught up in wanting more and more and more for ourselves. We are bombarded with marketing messages telling us we don’t have enough, our house isn’t big enough, our car isn’t fancy enough, we don’t own enough status symbols, we simply need more. But perhaps we already have enough and the more that we need is more doing for those in our communities who truly are in need of more.

We see this all the time in the business world. More growth, more revenue, more profits. And what happens? In our lust for more, we create bad experiences for customers, we mistreat our employees, we fire them 2 weeks before Christmas. But perhaps businesses already have enough and the more that they should be doing is for their employees, for their communities, and for the world.

Our legacy, what we will be remembered for, is not in what we do for ourselves but in what we do for others.
